Union Minister G Kishan Reddy Inspects Redevelopment Work at Begumpet Railway Station in Hyderabad

Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, G Kishan Reddy, visited Begumpet Railway Station in Hyderabad today to inspect the ongoing redevelopment efforts as part of the Indian Railways’ ambitious Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The scheme aims to modernize and enhance the infrastructure of key railway stations across the country, with a focus on improving passenger experience and accessibility.

During his visit, Reddy toured the station’s premises to review the progress of the renovation works, which include upgrading facilities, enhancing station amenities, and ensuring better connectivity. The Minister expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and emphasized the importance of the redevelopment initiative in catering to the growing needs of travelers.

“This redevelopment is a significant part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, which aims to make our railway stations world-class. Begumpet Railway Station is a vital hub in Hyderabad, and with these renovations, we are not only enhancing passenger comfort but also contributing to the overall development of the region’s infrastructure,” Reddy said.

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, launched by the Indian Railways, is designed to transform stations across the country by providing state-of-the-art facilities and improving the overall station environment.
