Hyderabad: Telangana BJP State President Ramchander Rao hit back at BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) over his remarks on fake votes, alleging that both the AIMIM and the Congress have long been involved in voter fraud in Hyderabad.
Responding to KTR’s comments, Rao said, “What he said is nothing new because BJP has always maintained that the Majlis party in Hyderabad, with the help of the Congress party, are doing vote theft. BRS has also done the same thing earlier.”
He accused the AIMIM of manipulating elections with Congress’s support, claiming, “AIMIM is getting support from Congress, so now they are making an issue. BRS won these seats because of AIMIM’s support. They have no moral right to say all these things.”
Rao further alleged that bogus voters play a role during elections in the city. “During the time of elections, people will come in burqas and fake names, and they will vote in favour of the Congress and the AIMIM,” he said.
The remarks have added fuel to the ongoing political tussle in Telangana, with the BJP, BRS, and Congress trading allegations ahead of key elections in the state.
