Telangana BJP Chief N Ramchander Rao Visits ISKCON Temple on Janmashtami, Praises Social Service Efforts

Hyderabad, Telangana: Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Monday visited the ISKCON temple in Hyderabad on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami and lauded the temple’s contributions to society as well as the disciplined conduct of the celebrations.

Speaking to the media after his visit, Rao highlighted ISKCON’s role in social service, especially its initiative of providing free meals to the poor and needy. “ISKCON in Hyderabad has been doing a lot of social service, including providing free meals to the poor,” he said, noting that such efforts embody the true spirit of devotion and service associated with Lord Krishna’s teachings.

The BJP leader also pointed out the large turnout of devotees on the auspicious day. “I have been told that today, more than 3 lakh people will visit till evening on the Krishna Janmashtami,” he remarked, underlining the spiritual enthusiasm among devotees in the city.

Rao extended his congratulations to both the temple management and the police department for ensuring smooth arrangements. “The management of the ISKCON temple and the police department were congratulated for conducting the event in a very disciplined manner,” he stated, appreciating their coordinated efforts to manage such a massive gathering.

Krishna Janmashtami, celebrated with great fervor across India, draws thousands of devotees to ISKCON temples every year. The celebrations in Hyderabad this year reflected not just devotion, but also the community spirit of service, discipline, and cultural unity.
