Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled the vaccination drive in India during the COVID-19 pandemic. He emphasized that the fight against the virus involved everyone and was not just a battle of ‘Virus vs Government’ but a fight of ‘Virus vs Life’.
From the first day, PM Modi started having direct communication with the people of his country. He publicly followed all protocols and encouraged the citizens to do the same. He initiated campaigns like ‘taali bajao’, ‘thaali bajao’, ‘diya jalao’, which were initially mocked in the country. However, he believed in taking people into confidence, and once the confidence was built, it became a mass movement.
The financial challenge was significant due to vaccine research costs. To build people’s confidence, PM Modi took the vaccine first. His 95-year-old mother also took the vaccine, setting an example for the citizens.
PM Modi also expressed his desire to invest a lot in research, particularly in the direction of Cervical cancer, under his new government. This interaction highlighted his commitment to public health and the well-being of the citizens of India.
