Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at a public rally in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, delivered a strong critique of the INDI alliance parties, accusing them of persistently opposing the construction of the Ram Temple.
“INDI alliance parties have always exhibited their resistance to the construction of the Ram Temple,” Modi proclaimed. “They declined the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ invite and insulted Ram Lalla. Their party members who chose to attend the ceremony were suspended for a term of six years.”
Modi also targeted the Congress party, alleging that it is deeply embedded in appeasement politics. “Congress is so entrenched in appeasement politics that they seem unable to disentangle themselves from it,” he contended. “Their manifesto seems to echo that of the Muslim League rather than their own.”
The Prime Minister further criticized the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) for their opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). “If India doesn’t offer citizenship to the persecuted minorities from neighbouring countries, then who will?” he queried.
The rally was held in the midst of the intense political campaigning in Uttar Pradesh, with all parties making vigorous efforts to court voters. The Prime Minister’s remarks are likely to heat up the already simmering political climate in the state.
