PM Modi Acknowledges Learning from Chandrababu Naidu’s Hyderabad Model

In a rare public acknowledgment of political inspiration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his pioneering work in urban development and governance.

Addressing a gathering in Amaravati, PM Modi said, “When I was newly elected CM of Gujarat, I was very closely monitoring what initiatives Chandrababu Naidu was taking in Hyderabad. I learned a lot, and today, I got the opportunity to implement them.”

The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a time when the BJP and TDP have been working closely in Andhra Pradesh ahead of key electoral contests. Modi’s statement is being seen as both a gesture of respect and a political message emphasizing continuity and shared vision in development-oriented leadership.

Naidu, known for his emphasis on technology and infrastructure during his tenure in Hyderabad, has often been credited with transforming the city into a major IT hub. PM Modi’s acknowledgment is expected to strengthen the BJP-TDP alliance narrative of combined governance experience and forward-looking policies.
