Hyderabad — Senior BJP leader N Ramchander Rao announced that he will formally assume charge as the President of the Telangana BJP unit today. The official handover will take place at 11 AM at the party’s state headquarters, where outgoing president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy will pass on the responsibility.
“Today I will be taking charge as the President of the Telangana Unit of BJP. G. Kishan Reddy would hand over the charge to me at 11 am in the party office,” Rao said.
Ahead of the ceremony, Rao, along with party members, visited the Bhagyalakshmi Temple to offer prayers. “Before that, we have come here at the Bhagyalakshmi Temple to pray to the goddess,” he added.
The leadership transition comes at a critical time as the party prepares its roadmap for the next assembly elections in Telangana.
