Hyderabad, Telangana – BJP MP Eatala Rajendar has criticized the opposition parties for their stance on the delimitation issue, accusing them of trying to defame the central government and mislead the public. Rajendar’s comments came after a Joint Action Committee (JAC) meeting, which was convened to discuss the contentious issue of delimitation in Telangana.
In a statement following the meeting, Rajendar expressed his concerns about the opposition’s efforts to create confusion and misinform the public about the central government’s intentions regarding delimitation. “They (opposition) are trying to defame the central government,” he said, referring to the opposition’s narrative on the issue. “They want to mislead the people, and the public will get to know this soon,” he added, suggesting that the truth would soon come to light and that the opposition’s claims would be exposed.
The delimitation issue has been a point of contention in Telangana, with debates over the redrawing of constituencies and how it will impact representation in the state. The BJP has strongly defended the central government’s position on the matter, while opposition parties have raised concerns about potential political ramifications.
Rajendar’s comments highlight the ongoing political friction in the state over the issue, with both the BJP and opposition parties gearing up for a battle over the future of Telangana’s electoral boundaries.
