BJP National Vice President and Member of Parliament DK Aruna has shared details of a disturbing incident where an intruder broke into her residence in the early hours of the morning. Speaking about the event, Aruna revealed that the break-in took place around 3:28 AM when an unidentified man entered her house by breaking a kitchen window.
“The intruder disabled the CCTV cameras and was inside the house for about one and a half hours,” Aruna explained. She added that, despite the significant amount of time the individual spent inside, nothing appeared to be stolen from the house, though the reason behind the break-in remains unclear.
The alarm was raised around 7:00 AM when Aruna’s driver noticed shoe prints around the premises and immediately contacted her. Aruna instructed him to inform the police, and she too took the same step. “CCTV footage was retrieved, and it showed a man covered in a monkey cap, mask, and gloves, carrying a backpack. He appeared to be a professional,” Aruna said, expressing concern over the fact that the intruder did not steal anything, but instead seemed to have been surveying the house.
Aruna voiced her concerns, stating, “Why did he recce my house? That is bothering us.” She further confirmed that the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) had visited her residence and assured her that the intruder would be apprehended soon. “The Chief Minister also called me up today, and several other leaders reached out to express their concern,” she added.
While the authorities continue their investigation, the incident has raised alarm and led to heightened security around Aruna’s residence. It is unclear whether the break-in was politically motivated or if it was part of a broader pattern of criminal activity. The BJP MP’s statement has sparked discussions about the safety and security of public figures in the region.
