Telangana BJP leader NV Subhash has criticized the Congress government for allegedly attempting to disrupt celebrations of India’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 victory in Telangana. His remarks came in response to Union Minister G Kishan Reddy’s tweet highlighting the celebrations across the state.
“BJP Telangana congratulates Team India on this victory. 140 crore people watched the match, and India won with a bang. In some way or another, Congress, upset over the loss of MLC seats, wanted to disrupt the celebrations,” Subhash said. He condemned any attempts to politicize the event, stating, “We condemn such action as the victory is of everyone, not of any particular community. Telangana government should be careful when dealing with such issues.”
Apart from cricket, Subhash also addressed the ongoing Parliament Budget session, reaffirming the BJP-led NDA government’s commitment to fulfilling its manifesto promises. “BJP and NDA government is clear that everything in the manifesto, especially the Waqf Bill, will be introduced,” he stated.
Taking aim at the opposition, he accused the Congress party of deliberately obstructing national progress. “Congress should be a responsible opposition… they try to create hurdles in the development of the country,” he added.
With political tensions rising over various national and state-level issues, BJP leaders are intensifying their criticism of Congress while reinforcing their governance agenda. The Telangana government’s response to these allegations remains to be seen.
