BJP leader N Ramchander Rao strongly defended the Indian military’s recent Operation Sindhoor, emphasizing the country’s right to defend itself against terrorism. Speaking in Hyderabad, Rao condemned the shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) by Pakistan, calling it a violation of the ceasefire agreement and an attack on innocent civilians.
“India had to defend its right against the terrorists being encouraged by the other country. The shelling at the LoC by Pakistan is condemnable. They are targeting civilians. It is a violation of the ceasefire,” said Rao, making it clear that Pakistan’s actions were unacceptable.
Rao also criticized political parties that raised objections to the naming of the operation, calling it an insult to the efforts of the Indian Armed Forces. “What sort of mentality do these political parties have who are objecting to the name of the operation?… These political parties are demeaning the efforts of our armed forces,” he added.
His comments reflect the growing support for the Indian Armed Forces’ actions against terrorism, as well as the frustration with political opposition that challenges the government’s defense policies. The statement reiterates the BJP’s stance on national security and the importance of unity in supporting military operations for the country’s protection.
