Hyderabad, Telangana – On the occasion of the BJP Foundation Day, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. K Laxman celebrated the dedication and contributions of BJP workers across the nation. He emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party continues to follow the ideals with which Atal Bihari Vajpayee had founded the BJP.
“The BJP workers in the nation are celebrating BJP’s Foundation Day. PM Narendra Modi is following the aim with which Atal Bihari Vajpayee founded BJP,” Dr. Laxman stated, recognizing the party’s growth and influence in India over the years. He highlighted the commitment to the nation and the party’s guiding principles that have shaped its journey since its inception.
In his address, Dr. Laxman also responded to the criticism surrounding the Waqf Amendment Bill, saying that opposition parties, especially the Congress, had tried to mislead the public on this issue. “I want to tell all the people that Congress and other parties tried to mislead people on the subject of the Waqf Amendment Bill,” he remarked.
The Waqf Amendment Bill, which seeks to make changes to the management of Waqf properties, has been a point of contention in Indian politics. Dr. Laxman’s comments come in the wake of the opposition’s efforts to challenge the legislation, which BJP leaders argue is intended to bring more transparency and accountability in the management of Waqf institutions.
Dr. Laxman’s speech underscored the BJP’s resolve to continue its mission of nation-building under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership while defending the party’s legislative agenda against political opponents.
