Hyderabad – The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced that the development works at Cherlapalli railway station are on track to be completed in the coming weeks. The station is being developed as a new terminal for trains heading towards the city, in an effort to alleviate the heavy train traffic at Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Kacheguda, and Lingampally.
The SCR released a status update report on Saturday, highlighting the strategic decision to opt for Cherlapalli. The station is conveniently located on the eastern side of Hyderabad, near the Outer Ring Road (ORR), and is witnessing rapid development.
This move is expected to bring significant relief to commuters from the city’s eastern region who have been facing hardships due to the heavy traffic at the existing stations. The new terminal at Cherlapalli is set to streamline the train traffic and provide a more efficient and comfortable commuting experience for the residents of Hyderabad.
