BJP’s NV Subhash Slams Congress Over Unfulfilled “Six Guarantees” in Telangana

BJP leader NV Subhash launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of failing to deliver on its much-publicized “six guarantees” promised ahead of the state elections. Speaking to the media, Subhash said that the Congress has managed to implement only one of the six key promises—the free bus travel facility for women—while even that has been marred by reduced services and poor execution.

“Where are the six guarantees you implemented? Barely one guarantee, the free bus facility for women. But at the same time, you have cut down on the transport facility and frequency. So this is nothing but cheating the people,” Subhash remarked, calling the partial implementation a betrayal of public trust. He further expressed disappointment in the Congress leadership for backing what he described as a “failed government” under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Subhash warned that the Congress would face serious political repercussions if it failed to act swiftly. “They could not implement these promises in Telangana, let alone across the country. We demand that the promises be fulfilled immediately; otherwise, you will face a dent in the upcoming local body elections,” he said.

The BJP leader’s statement comes at a time when public scrutiny over the Congress government’s performance is intensifying, with growing concerns about fiscal management and delivery of welfare schemes. As local body elections approach, the unfulfilled guarantees—ranging from financial support to women and farmers to job creation measures—are likely to become a key electoral issue, setting the stage for a heated political showdown in Telangana.
