Hyderabad, Telangana — BJP leader NV Subhash on Thursday strongly condemned Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for his recent tweet targeting External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, accusing Gandhi of undermining national institutions and diplomatic efforts.
Speaking to reporters, Subhash said, “Rahul Gandhi and his allies in the Congress party have started degrading not just the Indian Armed Forces but also the democratic values of the country. Along with that, they are targeting the Narendra Modi-led government repeatedly without basis.”
The criticism came in response to Gandhi’s comment on a recent diplomatic warning issued by India to Pakistan, following rising tensions in the region. Subhash defended the warning, calling it a measured diplomatic step by the Ministry of External Affairs.
“It’s only a diplomatic warning to the Pakistan government about the issues that have happened earlier as well,” Subhash said, emphasizing that Gandhi’s statement sends the wrong message to the international community and weakens India’s diplomatic posture.
He added, “Such kind of statements do not go well with the people of India. Rahul Gandhi should immediately issue an apology to Dr. S. Jaishankar.”
This exchange highlights the growing political confrontation between the BJP and Congress on issues of national security and foreign policy, particularly amid the ongoing discourse around Operation Sindoor and India’s firm stance on cross-border terrorism.
