CR Kesavan Lauds Operation Sindoor, Slams Congress for Undermining National Unity

Hyderabad – Senior BJP leader CR Kesavan strongly criticised the Congress party for allegedly politicising national security amid the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions and hailed Operation Sindoor as one of India’s most significant military achievements.

In a statement made on Monday, Kesavan credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces for executing a decisive military response. “The titanium resolvent determination of PM Modi and the unconquerable courage of our forces has decisively punished Pakistan. Operation Sindoor has firmly established India’s strategic military dominance in Asia,” he stated.

Kesavan lashed out at the Congress party, accusing it of spreading misinformation and undermining national morale. “At a time when the Indian Air Force has confirmed that operations are ongoing, Congress leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi are irresponsibly demanding a special Parliament session to discuss sensitive defence matters,” he said.

He dismissed Congress’ comparison of 2025 military action to the 1971 war, calling it “historically flawed” and politically motivated. Kesavan invoked Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s critique of the Simla Agreement, arguing that Indira Gandhi’s diplomatic decisions diluted India’s military gains post-1971.

Highlighting Operation Sindoor’s reported successes, he said Indian forces had eliminated nine terror bases—four of them inside Pakistan—and destroyed 11 Pakistani military installations. “This scale of strategic retaliation has never been achieved before,” he asserted.

Calling for political maturity, Kesavan urged Congress to rise above partisanship and support national unity during critical times. He concluded by expressing gratitude towards India’s armed forces and PM Modi.
