BJP Slams AAP, Calls Party “Synonymous with Scams” After Kejriwal Liquid Incident

BJP national spokesperson CR Kesavan has launched a sharp criticism against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), calling it “synonymous with scams and scandals” following an incident in which a liquid was thrown at Delhi’s former Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal.

Kesavan accused the AAP government of being riddled with corruption, extortion, and misrule, alleging that the party’s tenure in Delhi has been marked by “dishonesty, deceit, and drama.” He went further, asserting that the people of Delhi had suffered under the mismanagement of AAP for the past decade, which he claimed had caused significant harm to the city’s residents.

“The AAP government is synonymous with scams and scandals riddled with corruption and extortion business,” Kesavan stated. He described AAP’s leadership, including Kejriwal, as intoxicated with power and accused them of misusing their authority. According to Kesavan, the people of Delhi had been subjected to a governance that cast “a big doubt on the future of Delhi and its people.”

The BJP spokesperson also linked the liquid-throwing incident to a larger narrative, claiming that it was a diversion tactic. He argued that AAP had resorted to dramatizing the event to distract from a recent expose involving AAP MLA Naresh Balyan. Balyan was allegedly caught in an audio recording discussing an extortion racket targeting traders in Delhi, allegedly involving a gangster from abroad.

“When this was exposed, the AAP was rattled. They needed a distraction, a diversion to take the attention away from this extortion scam,” Kesavan stated. Referring to the liquid-throwing incident, he claimed that while only water had been thrown on Kejriwal, AAP had exaggerated the event, falsely claiming that it was spirit, and that it was an attempt to harm the Delhi CM.

Kesavan did not hold back in his condemnation, declaring that the AAP government was one of the worst in Indian political history. “Aam Aadmi Party has been one of the worst governments in the history of Indian politics. They have been the biggest failure and the people of Delhi are very angry,” he said.

He concluded by stating that the people of Delhi would not be fooled by the AAP’s “cheap tricks” and “desperate tactics” in an attempt to divert attention from the party’s alleged wrongdoings. “The people of Delhi will not fall prey to these cheap tricks and desperate tactics of the Aam Aadmi Party and will not fall into their trap,” Kesavan asserted.

The BJP’s criticism comes at a time when the AAP is already facing pressure due to ongoing corruption allegations. As political tensions rise, both parties are gearing up for upcoming elections, with Kejriwal’s leadership and AAP’s governance under intense scrutiny.

The liquid-throwing incident, although seemingly trivial, has sparked widespread political discourse, and it remains to be seen whether the controversy will have any lasting impact on the reputation of the AAP or further fuel opposition rhetoric in Delhi.
