Prime Minister Modi Applauds India’s Growth and Stability at ET World Leaders Forum

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the ET World Leaders Forum on Saturday, celebrating India’s economic achievements and political stability as the NDA government begins its third consecutive term. Modi’s speech highlighted the contrast between India’s consistent progress and the changing political landscapes in other countries.

Modi praised the Indian electorate for their choice to maintain continuity and stability in a year marked by significant political changes globally. “While many nations have opted for new governments, the people of India have chosen to continue with the NDA administration for a third consecutive term. This historic mandate, not seen in 60 years, reflects a strong preference for stability and sustained growth,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister showcased India’s remarkable economic performance, noting that the country’s economy grew by 90 percent over the past decade, compared to a 35 percent global increase. “Our economic policies have led to exceptional growth. We promised sustained progress, and we have delivered. India’s economic trajectory is set for continued advancement,” Modi emphasized.

Modi also highlighted the impact of his government’s reforms on ordinary citizens. “Our approach of ‘Reform, Perform, Transform’ has positively influenced the lives of millions. The Indian public has shown strong support for our vision, and the focus on stability, growth, and development has resonated particularly with the youth and women,” he remarked.

A key part of Modi’s address was the significant reduction in poverty. He revealed that over the past decade, more than 250 million people have moved out of poverty, contributing to the creation of a new middle class. “This historic achievement is unparalleled. No other democratic society has experienced such a large-scale transformation,” Modi asserted.

The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering the disadvantaged, including efforts to provide basic facilities like bank accounts. “In the first 100 days of our third term, we have made substantial decisions aimed at benefiting the poor, women, youth, and farmers. Our focus remains on inclusive growth and improving the lives of all citizens,” Modi stated.

Modi’s speech at the ET World Leaders Forum highlighted India’s unique success story and reinforced the country’s position as a stable and growing economy amidst global uncertainties. His address underscored the electorate’s endorsement of the NDA government’s policies and the continued momentum of India’s economic and social progress.
