Union Minister G Kishan Reddy Addresses Flood Damage in Telangana, Assures Aid

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has reported significant damage caused by recent floods in Telangana, particularly affecting the Khammam and Mahabubabad regions. The floods have severely impacted local communities, with water entering numerous homes and causing extensive loss.

In his statement, Reddy highlighted the gravity of the situation, stating, “There has been a huge loss, especially in Khammam and Mahabubabad areas of Telangana due to floods. Water has entered the houses of people.” His remarks underscore the urgent need for relief and support for the affected residents.

The Union Minister also conveyed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have been actively involved in addressing the crisis. “PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Telangana CM and assured them of providing the required assistance,” Reddy said, reflecting the central government’s commitment to supporting the state during this challenging time.

In addition to government efforts, BJP workers are on the ground, providing essential relief materials to those impacted by the floods. “BJP workers are also providing relief materials to the flood-affected people,” Reddy noted, highlighting the collective effort to aid those in need.

Reddy further explained that the next steps involve the submission of a detailed report from the state government to the Central government. “After the report is submitted to the Central government by the state government, the officials of the central government will arrive to provide the required assistance,” he added.

The response to the flood disaster in Telangana reflects a coordinated effort between state and central authorities, along with support from political organizations and volunteers, aiming to address the immediate needs of the affected communities and assist in recovery efforts.
