Hyderabad: BJP Kisan Morcha Claims 60% of Farmers Denied Loan Waiver Benefits

BJP Kisan Morcha state president K. Sridhar Reddy has raised serious concerns over the distribution of loan waiver benefits to farmers in Telangana. Speaking to a gathering of farmers in Rangareddy rural district, Reddy claimed that 60 percent of farmers in the state have been denied the benefits they were promised.

Addressing the audience, Reddy challenged those who argue that all farmers have received their due benefits to attend the Rythu Rachabanda meeting. He underscored that a helpline established by Union Minister Kishan Reddy has been inundated with calls from farmers seeking assistance, indicating widespread dissatisfaction with the current distribution process.

“We are committed to standing by our farmers and are actively working to provide them with the support they need,” Reddy assured.

Former MP Boora Narsaiah Goud, who also spoke at the meeting, took the opportunity to criticize the state government. Goud accused the Congress party of failing to deliver on promises made by Revanth Reddy, resulting in worsening conditions for farmers who had supported the party. He vowed to persist in his efforts to ensure that all farmers receive the Rs 2 lakh loan waiver benefit that was promised.

The allegations and criticisms reflect ongoing tensions regarding agricultural support in the state, highlighting the need for transparent and effective implementation of government schemes to assist the farming community.
